This day activity provides you with the full Provencal sensory experience enjoying and learning about two of the best things this wonderful region has to offer – its fabulous food and its exquisite wines.

Learn how to prepare typical Provencal dishes with one of Wine Uncovered’s cooking hosts. In the morning, you will learn how to recreate the taste and flavours of Provence for your family and friends back home using seasonal produce fresh from Vaison-la-Romaine's famous market and the trusted local farmer's shop.

The cooking class take place in the kitchen of a delightful private Provencal house in the beautiful hills around Vaison-la-Romaine. Enjoy the product of your morning’s work with some excellent local wines on the enchanting garden terrace.

I will meet you after lunch for a Wine Uncovered guided visit to the vineyards and cellars of two leading wine estates in one of the premium Southern Rhône wines villages of Rasteau, Gigondas or Vacqueyras. Please contact me if you would prefer to visit a different wine village.

At most of the estates we visit I supply a small selection of cheese with which to taste and appreciate the wines.

Start time:
9.30am at your cooking class in Vaison-la-Romaine.

Lunch & Finish time:
I will meet you at 2pm at the cooking class after the magnificent lunch you and your host have prepared. We will then set off for our wine tour.

The wine tour will finish at approximately 5.30pm in the wine village.

Any Prior Wine Knowledge Required?

My tours cater for all wine-drinkers, from those you know very little about wine, to enthusiasts seeking to broaden their understanding. My relaxed and informal tours can be tailored to suit each individual, as introductory or as in-depth as you require.

If you are a veteran wine estate visitor and you have seen more than your fair share of wine-making cellars, I will tailor the tour accordingly!

Transport to the Cooking Class and vineyards

Cooking Class:
You require your car to get to Vaison-la-Romaine (postcode 84110) for the cooking class. Directions and contact number will be provided by your cooking host, following confirmation of the tour.

I will then meet you at your cooking class for the afternoon wine tour.

Own Transport Option:
You require your car to get to the cooking class and for the wine tour. Wine Uncovered can collect up to 4 people from your residence free of charge if you are staying in or very local to the first wine village visited.

Chauffeured Option:
Wine Uncovered uses an air-con. minibus service that can collect up to 8 people from their residence and return them after the tour. Please me for a quote.
