The property was purchased by Henri de Lanzac in 1994. The property, including the ruined chateau dates back to the 17th century and was owned by many generations of the Regis de Gatimel family. Henri had previously been in charge of the domaine Le Chemin du Roy in Tavel.
Henri works with is son, Laurent, daugther, Anne son-in-law Frédéric Grasset.
The property cultivates 58 ha of vineyards of which 36ha is in Lirac, 7 ha in Tavel, and 4 ha in Côtes du Rhône. The vine stock averages over 80 years old so yields are low, producing concentrated complex wines.
A special Côtes du Rhône is produced from 3,5 ha owned by the former Formula One race car driver Jean Alesi.
