This cuvée is sourced from the cool, late-ripening terroirs of Chapouin (sandy soils), La Janasse, and the La Crau plateau.

Cuvée Chaupin is a fine bottle, showcasing Grenache at its best in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With notes of dark fruit and violet, this cuvée evolves gracefully over time, its tannins already silky.

Producer profile

Founded in 1973 by Aimé Sabon, Domaine de la Janasse grew from 15 to over 90 hectares thanks to his vision and expansion of prime terroirs. In 1991, his son Christophe brought new energy, diversifying cuvées and markets, and was later joined by his sister Isabelle in 2001. Together with their mother Hélène, the family has made La Janasse one of the leading estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
