Domaine André Berthet-Rayne Côtes du Rhône Villages M&A 2024

Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc

Clay, limestone and sand

Biodynamic grower.

Yellow-fleshed fruits like mirabel plum or peach with notes of marzipan. On aeration, aromas of cotton candy, something sweet almost, like a delicacy gives it a gourmet and already very flattering side. The mouth is creamy with a supple and frank attack at the same time. The different flavours respond to each other with soft vanilla notes, and thus contribute to reinforcing the complexity. It is a wine of pleasure and delicacies that we will appreciate without delay.

Producer profile

Biodynamic grower. The history of the estate began with André’s great-grandparents, Charles and his wife, who cultivated 6 hectares of vines at the end of the 19th century. In addition to the vines, they also cultivated a few plots of olive trees and agricultural land, typical of farms at the time. This diversity laid the foundations for a wine-growing business that the family, over the generations, has continued to develop and enrich with expertise passed down from father to son and now to daughter. The estate now cultivates 31 hectares of vineyards. An agroforestry project will be implemented, aiming to enrich biodiversity and strengthen the sustainability of their viticultural practices.
