70% Roussanne, 15% Old vine Grenache Blanc, 15% Old vine Clairette
On sandy-clay soils, in the localities of La Janasse and La Crau.
Vinification in vats for the Grenache and Clairette grapes. The Roussanne grapes are vinified in barrels. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels. Aged in barrels (1 to 3 years old) with stirring for 6 months.
Power and balance could sum up this confidential cuvée due to its rarity. A festival of fruity notes (peach, citrus, pear and vanilla) is offered in a concentrated, fresh wine.

Producer profile
Founded in 1973 by Aimé Sabon, Domaine de la Janasse grew from 15 to over 90 hectares thanks to his vision and expansion of prime terroirs. In 1991, his son Christophe brought new energy, diversifying cuvées and markets, and was later joined by his sister Isabelle in 2001. Together with their mother Hélène, the family has made La Janasse one of the leading estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
