Domaine La Perdrière Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Sablet La Pause White 2024

95% Viognier, 5% Marsanne

Certified Organic grower. Located on the northern edge of the renowned Gigondas appellation and benefiting from a south-southwest exposure. The vineyards are located on gently sloping terraces overlooking the village. The soils are composed of a matrix of sand and safres, mixing decalcified clay and limestone pebbles of various sizes.

A very aromatic, round, and full-bodied wine with aromas of white flowers, peaches, pineapple, and citrus fruits. It is remarkable for its delicately mineral finish. A perfect balance between natural acidity and the roundness imparted by aging on fine lees. Bring to room temperature a few hours before serving, then place in an ice bucket. This will allow this cuvée to blossom and reveal its aromas more fully.

Producer profile

Located at the foot of the prestigious Dentelles de Montmirail in Sablet, the vines flourish on a 27-hectare estate cultivated using organic farming methods. Domaine La Perdrière was taken over in 2010 by Vasco Perdigao, supported by his wife Sonia, a former nurse who retrained as a winemaker. Vasco practiced his craft and honed his skills with passion for several years in the renowned vineyards of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône. However, it was in the southern Rhône Valley that he decided to settle as a winemaker.
