The grapes for this wine come from the alluvial terrace of the Aygues between Cairanne and Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes. The calcareous-sandy soil contains a few rounded pebbles, mainly for the Carignan. The vines are 45 years old on average.
The wine was aged in stainless steel vats for six months.
Its garnet colour, bright red fruit and peony nose, and fruity, spicy palate with notes of garrigue. Pyrope is the ideal accompaniment to Provençal and Italian cuisine, as well as red meat and stews.

Producer profile
This small domaine was created in 2010 by Loic and Caroline Massart when they purchased 9 ha of vineyards in the cru of Cairanne. The vines have been grown organically from the outset and some of the vines are over 80 years old. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand into 20 kg crates. Loic and Caroline attach great importance to respecting the environment, the soil and the vines. This same philosophy is applied in the cellar, producing very low intervention wines where patience and gentle, persevering mechanical work are paramount.
