Les Chemins de Sève Vin de France “Moins je soufre, mieux je me sens” 2023

Carignan, Mourvèdre

The grapes for this wine come from the alluvial terrace of the Aygues between Cairanne and Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes. The calcareous-sandy terroir reveals areas of rounded pebbles for the Carignan. The Carignan vines are 40 years old and the Mourvèdre vines are 5 years old.

Natural wine with no sulphite additions. Aging in old barrels for 6 to 8 months.

Garnet colour with purple highlights, nose of red fruits. The palate is fresh, smooth, fruity and very slightly smoky, with almost no tannins. Very silky.

This natural and remarkably versatile wine is the perfect accompaniment to all cuisines, from the most traditional to the most exotic.

Producer profile

This small domaine was created in 2010 by Loic and Caroline Massart when they purchased 9 ha of vineyards in the cru of Cairanne. The vines have been grown organically from the outset and some of the vines are over 80 years old. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand into 20 kg crates. Loic and Caroline attach great importance to respecting the environment, the soil and the vines. This same philosophy is applied in the cellar, producing very low intervention wines where patience and gentle, persevering mechanical work are paramount.
